AstraZeneca relocated several laboratories to its North Carolina facility.  Therefore, to reduce the “footprint” of the Westborough campus, AstraZeneca hired Bristol Engineering to develop deconstruction plans to be used for wetlands permitting, bidding and construction.   Bristol engineered the relocation of several utilities including fire protection, fire alarm and chilled water to maintain service to existing buildings.   Approximately 100,000 sf of buildings and foundations were removed and 9 acres of land was graded, seeded and left to revert back to natural forest land.
