The Alexandria Center at Kendall Square is a mixed-use, 1,700,000 square feet planned unit development involving the construction of five new commercial/laboratory buildings, two new residential buildings and the preservation and adaptive reuse of four historic buildings in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Bristol Engineering, teamed with firms, is currently providing infrastructure design for the development and will engineer 4,000 feet of 12-inch water main and over one-mile of underground ductbanks, while solving numerous utility conflicts along the way. Additionally, a new stormwater trunkline will be installed beneath Binney Street, one of the busiest streets in Cambridge, greatly increasing stormwater quality prior to it being discharged to the Charles River. Bristol is the primary liaison between the Owner, Architect and the City Engineering Department for utility installation.
