The Wellesley Municipal Light Plant had recently completed the construction of a new facilities building and wished to demolish the old, unused building. The Town hired Bristol to prepare a drawing and specification package suitable for public bidding. As part of the project, Bristol performed a hazardous materials inventory, a structural review of the building to determine how it would react during demolition, a recycling analysis to determine the appropriate recycling rate and coordinated with local officials. The project was successfully bid and was completed under the Town’s appropriated budget. A 98% recycling rate was achieved.
